Guardiola says there is no point worrying what title rivals are doing – just focus on winning as many matches as possible.
“We have to win our games. I’d love to be involved in the games of our contenders but I can’t be involved,” said Pep.
“Just one time when Liverpool will take a bus and come here to play the game, the rest we can do nothing.
“All we can do is Monday 8pm and win our game at Crystal Palace, but of course we have our eye on what they do, it’s normal.
“But I said before when you arrive in the last stages every game is decisive and a final.
“It’s not much time to recover. All the clubs, Chelsea, Liverpool, ourselves, the teams we’re going to play for the Champions League qualification, Europa League, not to get relegated, every game we play a team for many things that’s why it’s nice.
“There are a lot of battles, every game will be quite similar to how we played at Everton at Goodison Park for example, we have to face it and it’ll be nice.
“It’s nice to be there again arriving at the later stages trying to fight for that.
“But of course, Sunday afternoon we’ll know the result from Brighton v Liverpool, that’s normal.
“It can be the same, it can be just three points but what do we have to do?
“Win our game. That’s all we can control.”
