Silva, former captain Vincent Kompany and Sergio Aguero are all celebrated with statues outside our home.
Like Kompany, our former midfielder was part of the City squad to win our first major piece of silverware in 35 years when we beat Stoke by a single goal in the 2011 FA Cup final.
Twelve months later, El Mago was once again an essential cog in Roberto Mancini’s side as we ended a 44-year wait for a top flight title in the most dramatic of circumstances.
The midfielder would go on to win every domestic honour with Manchester City, including a further three Premier League titles, as well as taking on the captain’s armband following the departure of Kompany in 2019.
From his mesmeric first Premier League goal through to lighting the blue touch paper in the 2019 FA Cup final (as well as plenty of memorable assists along the way) enjoy some of David Silva’s finest City moments.
