The vote - in association with our Official Supporters Clubs - saw him beat Riyad Mahrez and David Silva to the coveted award. 

De Bruyne has enjoyed a fine season, scoring 15 goals and assisting 23 in 46 games so far. 

Indeed, his 20 Premier League assists saw him win the Playmaker Award and equal Thierry Henry’s 17-year record.

We sat down with the Belgian this week to discuss the accolade.
