It was a pretty uneventful first 45 minutes at Old Trafford, before City tested Andre Onana on a few occasions after the break.
Omar Marmoush had the best of the efforts for Pep Guardiola’s side, stinging Onana’s palms twice, whilst Joshua Zirkzee came closest for United, being denied smartly by the alert Ederson shortly before full-time.
Neither side could force a winner in the 196th Manchester derby, and Dias declared his pride in his post-match interview with City TV, as City continue to fight for UEFA Champions League qualification.
“We take this point very proudly,” he began. “It cost us a lot of work.

“Offensively I don’t feel like one of them that we were dangerous and that close to scoring. But I think overall, obviously, they’re not an easy team to come to play away.
“The way we fought for every ball, even in more difficult moments, the way everyone stood by each other, and helped each other. It’s a point we take proudly.
“Obviously we want to come here and we want to win like always. But today, I feel like it was obviously a difficult game, but the way we survived difficult moments, made me feel like we’re getting back to what we are.”
The Portugal international also had some high praise for Academy graduate Nico O’Reilly who put in an impressive display at left-back.
