Ruben Dias is eager for City to bounce back from the 2-0 home Premier League defeat to Crystal Palace.

Goals from Wilfried Zaha and Conor Gallagher saw the Eagles take all three points at the Etihad Stadium, after Aymeric Laporte was sent off just seconds before half-time.

Dias is already looking for a strong response from the players after the loss.

“The thing in my mind is the next game already,” he said. “But also the way the team went into half-time with one player less. The way we came back. We got on top of them. That’s the spirit we need. That’s the biggest positive from today. We showed lots of character to keep fighting until the end.

“In this life you always need to bounce back and to turn it around. There’s always a chance to turn it around. Today I felt something that I feel will be very important going forward.

“It’s an important week, like any other, and we’re looking forward and we will be there.”
