Jeremy Doku reserved special praise for goalkeeper Ederson after our 1-3 Premier League victory over West Ham United.

James Ward-Prowse headed the hosts ahead in the first-half, before Doku netted his first goal for City immediately after the interval.

The Hammers then thought they had the lead through Kurt Zouma’s powerful header on the hour mark, but our Brazilian shot-stopper sprawled to his left to palm the ball away spectacularly to keep the score level.

Bernardo Silva and Erling Haaland then went on to score to secure the three points for Pep Guardiola‘s side and Doku had nothing but praise for his new teammate.

“Reliable. Reliable goalkeeper,” he said.

“Sometimes in the game you need that.

“City are used to having the ball always and having a lot chances, and not conceding a lot of chances.

“But when you do concede, and you have a goalkeeper like that, it’s always nice for players like us to rely on a goalkeeper like that.”

The winger also spoke about his stunning goal, his happiness for Haaland after he scored and how it felt having Guardiola on the touchline for the first time in his City career.
