But blue is now the colour for the England international who joins the Club after becoming a World Cup bronze medallist after his integral role in England’s third-place finish at the 2026 FIFA World Cup, the nation’s best position at the major tournament since 1966.
It’s hard not to see a resemblance in Anderson’s attributes and what makes Manchester so special - industrial, hard-working, gritty and with the ability to dig deep.
