The Norwegian striker has 19 goals in 12 matches across all competitions, having already scored three hat-tricks in the Premier League.
Asked whether he expected to take to life at the Etihad Stadium and in England’s top flight so soon, the 22-year-old was keen to point out the help he has received.
“It’s a hard competition and I’m lucky to be in a really good team here at City,” he said.
“Hard work is really important, you have to believe in yourself but you also have to stay calm.
“I thought I would adapt but you never know in a new country, new city with new players and a new coach. You never know.
“Sometimes things can take a bit more time but for me it’s going quite quickly and I’m comfortable, that’s the most important thing.
“I thought it would be hard work but I also knew that the players have been playing together for many years. I was coming into a team that scored a 100 goals last year so for me it was about coming in to the team to do what I do best.”
