It's exactly one year to the day since Erling Haaland broke a 94-year Club record.

His five strikes against RB Leipzig in our 7-0 UEFA Champions League win at the Etihad saw him surpass Tommy Johnson’s record for the most City goals in a single season, set back in the 1928/29 campaign.

The Norwegian finished the 2022/23 campaign with a whopping 52 goals in all competitions as he lifted the Treble.

Haaland scored his 50th City goal in a 2-1 win over Fulham in April, extending his record at scoring more in a single season for a Premier League club than anyone has ever managed before.

Ruud van Nistelrooy (2002/03) and Mo Salah (2017/18) previously jointly held the record with 44 strikes across all competitions.

Overall, the 22-year-old plundered 52 goals in 53 games, scoring 36 in the Premier League, 12 in the Champions League, three in the FA Cup and one in the Carabao Cup.
