Erling Haaland is the quickest player ever to record three Premier League hat-tricks, just eight matches in to his Manchester City career.

Our Norwegian striker hit three against Manchester United to take home his third match ball already this season.

He reached the total a massive 40 matches before the next best performer in Premier League history - Michael Owen took 48 matches to score three hat-tricks, with Ruud van Nistelrooy (59) and Fernando Torres (64) the next best.

Haaland’s phenomenal run at the Etihad Stadium started against Crystal Palace back in August, when he bagged three of City’s goals in a 4-2 victory. He followed that just a few days later against Nottingham Forest.

We didn’t have a home Premier League match in September, meaning our No.9 had to wait until the 2 October to continue his run and in one of the biggest games of the season, too.

On Sunday he had a hand in five of City’s six goals (3 goals, 2 assists), the most goal involvements by a player in a single Premier League Manchester derby.
