We look back at this season's Young Leaders Summit as part of our community football initiative with Etihad Airways.

Thirty-nine Young Leaders from across India gathered in New Delhi for the Young Leaders Summit, a week of training and development led by City in the Community coaches and Etihad employee volunteers.

Delivered in partnership with Manchester City, Etihad Airways, and Magic Bus India Foundation, the initiative uses football as a tool to promote healthier lifestyles and empower Young Leaders with the skills to drive positive change in their communities.

Young Leaders travelled from Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Kolkata, Mumbai, and New Delhi to take part in sessions focused on community coaching, social impact, and leadership.

Etihad Airways flew in employee volunteers to support career and leadership workshops alongside the City in the Community coaches.

Their role was to support the Young Leaders and gain insight into the work they do with children in their own communities.

The Summit was also an opportunity that offered the Young Leaders a chance to connect and build friendships with participants from the different project cities and showcase their learnings with local children in Delhi at a community festival before travelling back to their own communities.

The Young Leaders form part of the project network in partnership with Manchester City’s global foundation, Etihad Airways, and Magic Bus India Foundation.

The project has launched in five cities from the airline’s destination cities across India: Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Kolkata, Mumbai, New Delhi, with more locations expected to follow next season.
