Ahead of this weekend's Champions League final, we look back on special footage from our maiden European success back in 1970.

Filmed by goalkeeper Harry Dowd, the video shows a team of City legends making their way home from Vienna after beating Polish outfit Gornik Zabrze 2-1 to lift what remains the Club’s only continental title.

Having won the League Cup earlier that season, first half goals from Neil Young and birthday boy Francis Lee paved the way to glory.

Dowd captured the players on the plane home and the open-top bus, as well as the festivities with fans at the civic reception at Manchester Town Hall.

It’s a unique insight into the events of 53 years ago.

With City again in a European final this week, we’ll be hoping for similar jubilant scenes after the final whistle in Istanbul on Saturday.
