On another memorable afternoon at the Etihad, our Norwegian centre forward registered his fourth hat-trick of the season to secure what was another hugely important win for City.
It took the 22-year-old’s Premier League tally for the season to 25, and 31 in total – and also saw him break another City record.
Haaland has now scored 18 league goals at the Etihad this term, beating the previous best-ever tally of 16 which was registered by Sergio Aguero.
And speaking on our latest edition of Matchday Live, special guest Dickov couldn’t disguise his admiration for Haaland’s extraordinary exploits and insisted that he would only continue to improve.
“Erling Haaland’s numbers are madness when you think about it,” said the former City and Scotland forward.

“That’s four hat-tricks for him now this season... he’s got more already this term than I got in my career over 20 years!
“It’s just ridiculous.
“The records Erling has broken already are quite scary but the records he is going to break and where that could lead to is quite phenomenal.
“He’s still only 22 and learning the game. He’s only got 20 Premier League games under his belt so what is he going to be like when he had got 50 or 100 under his belt?
“And playing with these players must be a dream too. To score 25 goals is astonishing, but he’ll be the first to admit that the quality around him is ridiculous.”
For his part, fellow Matchday Live special guest Shaun Goater was full of admiration for the all-round vibrancy of City’s display.
And our former striker also believed it was the perfect response to Pep Guardiola’s demand for even more from everyone in the wake of last week’s 4-2 comeback win over Tottenham.
“It was there for all to see. Pep wanted a response from everybody, and it was there to see,” the Goat asserted.
“He got the response from the fans, and he got the response from the players throughout all different parts of the game
“We saw phases of play where City built the ball up from the back and the number of passes, the quality of movement, with pace (was superb).
“Wolves were really trying to defend it but it was of such quality with Haaland moving the ball forward - with how we moved the ball I just thought we were brilliant.
“There were some great combinations - you had Gundogan and De Bruyne and a couple of times Stones and Akanji playing one-twos and about eight or ten passes later we were on the edge of their box!
“It was just phenomenal play by City.”
