City boss Pep Guardiola believes his side will be pushed to our limits as we prepare to lock horns with Everton in the FA Cup quarter-finals.

We travel to Goodison Park for Saturday’s 17:30 (UK) kick-off knowing a win would see us into the semi-finals for the fourth time in five seasons under Guardiola.

And while the boss hopes City can sign off before the international break with a victory, he admits we will have to be at our best to avoid coming unstuck against the Toffees.

“Quarter-finals at Goodison Park against Everton, it’s always tough,” Guardiola revealed.

“We were there a few weeks ago and we know how difficult it was to beat them.

“We won in the second half because of exceptional actions from Bernardo and Riyad Mahrez.

“We fought a lot, (Dominic) Cavert-Lewin is back and he is an important striker for them this season.

“But at the same time it’s the last game before international break, and hopefully we can finish well before we start in an important part of the season.”
