Check out our extended highlights of the 3-0 victory over West Ham United.

City were on top in the opening 45 minutes but we couldn’t make our dominance pay with goals.

Rodrigo’s 25-yard blast struck the foot of the post before veering away from danger while Erling Haaland and John Stones both saw headers from close-range fly wide.

The second half was a different story as we really turned on the style.

Nathan Ake opened the scoring on 50 minutes with a bullet header before Haaland hit the second on 70 minutes with a sumptuous chip, which in turn brought up his 35th Premier League goal – a record surpassing the previous best of 34 set by Alan Shearer and Andrew Cole.

Phil Foden hit a screamer to make it three on 85 minutes, that effort also bringing up 1,000 goals under Pep Guardiola at City.

Guardiola has achieved the feat quicker than any other manager in the Premier League era, with those goals coming in just 404 fixtures and at an average of 2.47 per match.

Importantly, the maximum haul also pushed us back to the top of the table, one point ahead of Arsenal with a game in hand – and if we can beat Leeds United on Saturday, before the Gunners play again, that figure will move to a very healthy four points.
