Fernandinho has spoken of his pride at winning his fourth Premier League title.

The Brazilian was chosen as Club captain in the summer, replacing the departing David Silva. 

And he has led the side with distinction, impressing on and off the field throughout a unique campaign. 

City’s third title in four years was confirmed on Tuesday when Manchester United’s defeat to Leicester left us with an unassailable lead with three games remaining. 

It’s the culmination of collective hard work throughout a gruelling season, and Fernandinho could not hide his delight when he spoke to CityTV. 

“It’s a really special moment – the sensation is really nice,” he said.

“To be Premier League champions again is special.

“I am so glad, so happy, so delighted. I want to enjoy this moment.

“As team captains, we guide the team in the right way.

“I am so happy we can celebrate now. It’s a huge achievement for us.”
