Ferran Torres revealed Manchester City captain David Silva is an inspiration to him in his first interview since signing for the Club.

The 20-year-old winger has followed in Silva’s footsteps as a prodigiously talented Valencia academy graduate, who swapped Estadio de Mestalla for the Etihad Stadium.

Torres says he has always looked up to the departing midfielder, who was the star of Los Che when the youngster first entered their academy.

“When I started at Valencia he was enjoying his best time at the Club,” Torres told CityTV.

“He was always an inspiration and then, when he moved to City where he has been playing his best football, I’ve always admired him.”

Torres also discussed why City’s style suits him and why he feels Pep Guardiola can get the best out of him, as well as telling us all about his dogs and tattoos!
