Pep Guardiola was unveiled as Manchester City manager on this day five years ago.

The Catalan came to the Club with a formidable winning reputation after hugely successful stints at Barcelona and Bayern Munich respectively.

However, rather than basking in the glory of a watershed campaign at the helm, the boss and City went even further in the following season to claim a domestic clean sweep of the Community Shield, Carabao Cup, FA Cup and league title.

A 4-1 victory over Brighton on the final day ensured we pipped Liverpool by a point to become the first side to retain the Premier League in a decade, helped in no small part by a crucial 2-1 win over the Reds in January 2019.
