Phil Foden was proud to join a prestigious list of City legends after reaching 100 Premier League goal contributions in our 3-0 victory over Crystal Palace.

The Englishman reached the impressive landmark in stylish fashion, producing a magical backheel assist for Antoine Semenyo to fire us ahead.

100 quickly became 101 as Foden then assisted Omar Marmoush for our second of the evening, before Savinho added a late third as we moved two points behind league-leaders Arsenal with two games left to play.

The Academy graduate becomes the sixth player to contribute directly to 100 Premier League goals for City after Sergio Aguero, Kevin De Bruyne, Erling Haaland, David Silva and Raheem Sterling.

“Not a bad list! I’m happy to be on that list to be honest,” said Foden in his interview with City Studios after the game.

“The players you just named there, City legends, even Erling already I would say is a City legend.

“To be on that list, to get my 100th goal and assist, it means a lot to be honest.

“Great stat, thanks for mentioning that!”

Foden also spoke about the tough nature of playing against a determined Palace side, spoke in depth about his sublime assist and looked ahead to the final two league games of the campaign.
