After our win over Arsenal in midweek, we had the chance to leapfrog the Gunners with victory away to Fulham on Sunday.
Erling Haaland gave us the perfect start from the penalty spot with his 50th goal of the season after Julian Alvarez had been brought down.
Fulham equalised in the 15th-minute with their first effort of the match when Carlos Vinicius powerfully shot past Ederson after Harry Wilson had headed the ball into his path.
But Alvarez fired us back into the lead with a brilliant 25-yard strike that curled into the top corner giving Fulham goalkeeper Bernd Leno no chance.
The German stopper made a couple of fine saves to deny Haaland and take the game deep into injury time but City collected a valuable three points.
