Gabriel Jesus wants to add a Manchester derby goal to the long list of special moments he has enjoyed in a Manchester City shirt.

The Brazilian forward has scored in big games against Chelsea, Liverpool and Real Madrid but is yet to net against our local rivals.

Jesus thought he’d scored on his derby debut back in April 2017, but was ruled to be offside as he glanced a header past David De Gea and, as City prepare to face United in the 186th instalment of the rivalry, he hopes he can add a derby goal to his impressive CV.

“I think what’s missing is goal at a derby,” he told mancity.com.

“I hope to have again the opportunity to be part of it and try to score. I always try to. Sometimes I hit the post, others it was offside, but as I said, I hope it comes and when it does it well help my team-mates.”

City’s No.9 also spoke about how much he loves being involved in the famous fixture, his memory of previous fixtures and how it compares to the Sao Paulo derby in his native Brazil.
