Jesus cut an impressive figure on the right wing, providing two assists in a game which Guardiola’s side dominated from start to finish and he was delighted with the performance of the entire squad.

“Today I was happy to make assists, but all the team played so good” he told mancity.com.

“The guys who came in played so good as well, the last 20-30 minutes. That is the most important thing. That is our power. That is good for us, for the club.

“When you win like this you get the confidence back. It is game by game. It is going to be different. This game was different than Tottenham, so Arsenal will be different.

“Today we have to enjoy this result and tomorrow be focused on the Arsenal game.”
