Jack Grealish believes that providing an assist feels just as good as scoring at times after he set up the winner in the 1-0 Premier League victory over Chelsea.

The winger came off the bench and shortly after played the ball into the path of Riyad Mahrez, who tapped into an empty net.

Grealish now has three assists in our last three Premier League games and revealed that he enjoys providing for his teammates.

“Especially when you put it on a plate for someone and all they have to do is tap it in, Like the Erling [Haaland] one against Leeds and tonight.

“They’re the best types, because you feel like you’ve done a lot of the work.

“I’m the exact same as Kev [De Bruyne]. Obviously, there’s no better feeling in football than scoring a goal.

“But honestly, assisting is just as good sometimes because you feel like you’ve done your job.”

The 27-year-old also spoke about his special connection with the City fans, and also looked ahead to this Sunday’s FA Cup third round clash with Chelsea at the Etihad Stadium.
