Victory in Saturday’s Etihad Stadium clash against Chelsea extended our winning run in the Premier League to 12 matches and provided the added bonus of taking us 13 points clear of the London side in the table.
Although we are currently showing no signs of letting that winning run slip up, Guardiola insists he and his players are not getting carried away by our recent form.
Indeed, the City boss has reiterated that our response to any potential setbacks will be vital in our pursuit of both domestic and European silverware.
He said: “We will stop, we won’t win all the games. We will lose one game or two or draw.
“It’s how we react. I know them (the players), we will react well.
“4-0 against Leicester at half-time, in 20 mins it was 4-3. People say City can’t lose games. We can lose games, that’s for sure, it is football.
“But I know after losing, because it happened in the past, the reaction will be proper.
“We will try again and with the right mentality we will be consistent to try to win again.”
