Ilkay Gundogan was left exhilarated after City's thrilling 2-2 Premier League draw against Arsenal at the Etihad Stadium.

Erling Haaland slotted us ahead after nine minutes to reach 100 City goals, before Riccardo Calafiori’s splendid strike levelled for the Gunners.

Gabriel headed the visitors ahead in first-half stoppage time, before Leandro Trossard was sent off seconds before the interval for a second yellow card after kicking the ball away after a free-kick had been awarded.

Pep Guardiola‘s men pushed and probed for then entire second-half before enevtually breaking the Arsenal resistance, with John Stones firing in a 98th minute leveller.

“Yeah, it is a big point, I’m quite sure about that,” said Gundogan. What also makes it kind of special are the emotions throughout the 98, 99, 100 minutes.

“It was emotionally a rollercoaster a little bit. Frustration, anger paired with joy also at the end. We take the point, both teams take the point at the end the way it turned out.

“We knew there were lot of occasions and situations where we maybe should have done a bit better. At the end, I think a draw is okay.”

The midfielder also spoke about Haaland’s remarkable achievement after reaching a century of City goals, and touched on the difficulty playing against the deep Arsenal defence.
