Josko Gvardiol reserved special praise for teammate Erling Haaland after his two goals and one assist inspired us to a 3-0 Premier League victory over West Ham United.

The striker took just five minutes to find the net against the Hammers at the Etihad Stadium, before setting up Tijjani Reijnders to fire in our second before the interval.

Haaland grabbed his 19th top-flight goal of the season with just over 20 minutes left to play, taking him to 38 goals for club and country this term and 104 in total in the Premier League.

GALLERY: HAALAND DEALS HAMMER BLOWS AGAIN!

In his interview with City Studios, Gvardiol was asked if there was anything more he could say about Haaland’s goalscoring exploits.

“Good question, eh?! All i can say is that I’m happy for him,” he responded. I wish him just to keep going.

“For him I think it’s never enough obviously he wants to score at least five goals every game.

“We are here to support him, we are more than happy to have him in the team.

“Good player, as a friend as well. So I wish him all the best and keep going Erling!”

Our Croatian defender also provided his overall verdict on the victory, touched on the title race and looked ahead to some well deserved rest over the next few days.
