Erling Haaland was left overjoyed after joining the Premier League 100 Club in our chaotic 5-4 victory over Fulham.

Haaland opened the scoring after 17 minutes with an assured finish inside the box to claim his 100th Premier League goal, achieving the feat in a record-breaking 111 matches.

A smart Tijjani Reijnders finish added to by a stunning strike from Phil Foden had us in command, before Emile Smith Rowe grabbed a goal back for the hosts before half-time.

Foden further extended our lead after the break and a Sander Berge own-goal put us 5-1 up, before a Samuel Chukwueze brace and Alex Iwobi strike made a tense finale.

City hung on to claim the points on Haaland’s landmark evening.

“Of course, it means a lot,” he said after the game in his interview with City Studios.

“First of all to score a 100 goals in the Premier League for City is a thing of course I wanted to do when I came here.

“But [to do it] this quickly, I didn’t expect. Now it’s happened, I’m super proud. It’s a huge thing.

“I think after my career, when I look back at this it will be a huge moment this game and also a game I’ll remember for the rest of my life.”

Haaland also spoke about the positive impact of City’s substitutes and stressed the importance of the team focusing on our own fixtures, rather than looking at the results of our rivals.
