Hat-trick hero Erling Haaland reserved special praise for Savinho after the winger provided two assists in the 4-1 Premier League victory over Ipswich Town.

Sammie Szmodics gave the visitors the lead, but Savinho‘s quick feet won the penalty for Haaland to equalise.

The Brazilian’s intense pressing then resulted in him pinching the ball from goalkeeper Arijanet Muric and into Kevin De Bruyne‘s path to strike us ahead.

Haaland then added two more goals to complete his treble and secure three points at the Etihad Stadium.

“He’s been really good,” said Haaland when speaking about Savinho. “Of course he has to learn English but his football skills, everyone can see it.

“So it’s about keep on improving, because to play to together and everything.

“But you can already see the qualities he has. He got a penalty and an assist today.

“He’s going to be really good for us.”

The striker also revealed what he does with his match balls from all his 10 City hat-tricks, and spoke about the return of Ilkay Gundogan to the Club.
