Joleon Lescott caught up with Ilkay Gundogan as the City midfielder gave an attacking drill during a coaching session.

The Germany international has played under Pep Guardiola since they both joined the Club in the summer of 2016 and has expressed an interest in a coaching career once he retires from playing.

But he also says there is plenty of time to think about that in the future with the focus on making an impact on the pitch.

“I want to take my time, I’m still a player and I want to enjoy that,” Gundogan tells Lescott. “One day when I retire, I want to go through the process and see how far I can come.”

In this coaching masterclass, Gundogan runs through a familiar scenario - an attacking side has to remain patience, moving players into the right position in an attempt to break down a defensive opponent.
