Following our return from the United States of America, all eyes were on the Community Shield final at the end of the week as the 2024/25 campaign came into focus.
Before then, though, new signings Savinho and Vivianne Miedema were introduced to City supporters at the Etihad Stadium.
Those present on our pre-season tour of the US then arrived at the City Football Academy alongside those who had competed for their national teams at respective summer tournaments.

Then it was off to the capital for the Community Shield final where we locked horns with arch-rivals Manchester United in the traditional season curtain-raiser.
Following a 1-1 draw after 90 minutes where Bernardo Silva cancelled out Alejandro Garnacho’s opener, penalties were to decide who would win the trophy.
And the Blues held our nerve to win 7-6 at Wembley to kick-start our campaign.
