Divin Mubama scored City’s goal, opening the scoring 14 minutes into the game after fine work down the left wing from Antoine Semenyo.
Inter were back level just six minutes later, with Benjamin Pavard forcing it home from around 12 yards out.

That’s how it remained, despite fine efforts from Semenyo, Savinho and Ryan McAidoo in particular.
The Blues then fell victim to the penalty shootout, missing our first three before Claudio Echeverri grabbed a consolation.
As always with pre-season friendlies, the main focus is fitness and minutes for senior stars and younger prospects and new boss Enzo Maresca will no doubt be pleased with the evening’s work from that perspective.
