His move to the Blues sees the 22-year-old return the Club which he joined aged 12 and spent his developmental years before loan spells at Accrington and Bolton ahead of a transfer to Turf Moor in 2023.
During his final term with the Clarets, he helped them total 100 Championship points with an impressive defensive record which saw them concede just 16 goals en route to promotion to the Premier League in 2024/25.

Now back at City, Trafford says he’s relishing the opportunity to continue his sparkling progress between the sticks.
“Yeah it’s obviously extremely unique for this to happen and it’s just my journey,” he explained.
“Everyone’s journey is different but I’m proud of myself for doing it.
“They’re [City] obviously one of the best teams in the world. The most successful team over the last 10 years and it’s something I’m really excited for.
“I’m excited to see everyone again and I can’t wait to get to work with all the lads and just improve myself.”
