Jeremy Doku recalls a “nice day” at the Etihad after Manchester City beat Fulham 5-1 in the winger’s opening game.

The Belgian could not have been involved in more of a spectacle in his first outing at the Etihad. Julian Alvarez opened the scoring with a tap in before Tim Ream scored an equaliser for Fulham.

Nathan Ake restored our lead before the break and a second half Erling Haaland hat-trick wrapped up a convincing win for City.

Speaking to mancity.com after the game, Doku was pleased with the positive reaction of the supporters.

“I think when you play at home you always have the advantage because when you pull off a trick the crowd is yelling positively which helps.”

The no.11 was also asked how he was feeling ahead of the match.
