But, before that becomes a reality, it was the turn of Jeremy to watch other famous wingers in action for the sky blues.
We showed our new signing, who arrived yesterday from Stade Rennais, a selection of clips from respected former widemen.
And we got Jeremy to react to their skill, speed and scoring ability as he viewed some of their best moments.
He got to watch Georgi Kinkladze’s amazing solo effort against Southampton from 1996, the 2004 bullet drive of Shaun Wright-Phillips against Manchester United, Samir Nasri’s vital effort against West Ham from 2014, a curler from Raheem Sterling against Norwich, taken from 2022 and a fine finish from Leroy Sane against Liverpool from 2019.
Jeremy was suitably impressed with what he saw and he gave us his verdict.
Watching the development of Sterling and Sane, in particular, under Pep Guardiola was a source of excitement for the likeable Belgian ace.
