John Stones and Bernardo Silva have been constants during this most glorious era in our history but today they said goodbye.

They’ve both won a remarkable 20 trophies and starred as Centurions, Fourmidables, Treble Winners, Champions of the World and History Makers.

As they bid an emotional farewell to the Etihad this evening, their colleagues past and present took to their mobile phones to send in video messages for the departing hero.

The likes of Sergio Aguero, Kevin De Bruyne, Ilkay Gundogan, Pablo Zabaleta and Vincent Kompany tell Stones and Bernardo what they mean to them in heartwarming exchanges.

We also hear from chairman Khaldoon Al Mubarak, club legend Mike Summerbee and former Sporting Director Txiki Begiristain who talk glowingly about the brilliant duo.

The video messages were played on the Etihad big screen on the conclusion of our final game of 2025/26 against Aston Villa.
