Watch as John Stones and Campbell Hatton have an open and honest conversation, marking Mental Health Awareness Week 2026.

Campbell, an avid City fan throughout his life, is a boxer and the son of legend Ricky Hatton, who died in September last year at the age of 46.

Ricky will forever be known as a true Mancunian legend for his exploits in the boxing ring but also his infectious spirit off it.

He was also a huge City fan, wearing sky blue shorts during his career and walking out to the Club anthem ‘Blue Moon’.

How CITC is supporting mental wellbeing

In this piece, Campbell and John Stones take a walk through the grounds of the City Football Academy and discuss how Campbell has processed that grief.

The pair don’t hold back, reflecting on exactly what they do to take the challenges of life head on.

City aim to support mental health awareness through a range of programmes and activities, including City in the Community’s outreach as well as hosting Andy’s Man Club sessions at the Etihad Stadium every Monday.
