It was further evidence – if any were needed – of the magnificent impact made by La Arana since his arrival at the Etihad from River Plate in the summer of 2022.
The 24-year-old has proved a revelation in that time, playing a pivotal role in helping pilot City to the major Big Five trophy haul of Premier League, Champions League, FA Cup, UEFA Super Cup and FIFA Club World Cup across 2023.
