City forward Julian Alvarez has helped Argentina claim the 2022 World Cup.

The 22-year-old started for La Albiceleste in a breathless final in Lusail, which ended 3-3 after extra time.

And with Emiliano Martinez denying Kingsley Coman and Aurelien Tchouameni from the spot, Alvarez and co. would ultimately come out on top to claim football’s ultimate prize for the first time since 1986.

Club legends such as Sergio Aguero, Pablo Zabaleta, Carlos Tevez and Martin Demichelis have all played their part in our recent success.

Now Alvarez is the latest Argentina international to make a big impact at the Etihad Stadium as well as for his national team.

The striker only made his City debut in July but he has already brought plenty of excitement and flair with seven goals from his 20 appearances before the break for the World Cup.
