Julian Alvarez was ‘very happy’ to get on the score sheet in the 1-0 victory against Newcastle United.

The Argentine’s strike was the difference between the two teams, after he fired a rocket into the corner of the net, with enough pace to get past Nick Pope, as Pep Guardiola’s men saw out a victory which continued our 100% start to the new season.

The World Cup winner was delighted to contribute with the winning goal, in front of a full Etihad for the first time this season.

‘Yeh, I am very happy to get onto the score sheet today,” the no.19 began.
