Those celebrations included a mural in central Manchester, a permanent mosaic at the City Football Academy, the dedication of a statue to be built outside the Etihad Stadium and a special presentation after his final home game.

With the knowledge that this chapter of his life was coming to a close, it was a particularly emotional week for Kevin and his family but also for everyone connected to Manchester City.
