Kevin De Bruyne says he will approach Sunday's Manchester Derby like any other big game.

But the Belgian admits, with United in second and competing with City for the title this season, the game has added significance.

City have finished above United for the past seven seasons, but they have been our closest challengers for the title this term.

Pep Guardiola‘s side have pulled away in recent weeks, establishing a 14-point lead after winning 15 Premier League games on the bounce.

And De Bruyne knows the chance to make it 17 is a hugely important one.

“I look at it like any other big game,” he said.

“It’s always important to play well against your big rivals and obviously we know it’s a big derby and whoever wins gets bragging rights.

“It’s really important for the fans. Everyone is aware how big it is.

“And with City and United competing for titles it adds an extra layer.

“But we go into it like any other game – you shouldn’t act in a different way.”
