In what was a magnificent team display, there were also goals from Phil Foden, Jack Grealish, Riyad Mahrez, John Stones and Nathan Ake.
And De Bruyne insists that the result will provide an uplift to those players who scored but who haven’t played as much football recently.
He said: “We started really well, I think we kept the ball at the right times and once we saw the opening in the defence, we attacked really well.
“Scoring 2/3 goals makes the game easier but a lot of players who didn’t play too much in the last games played and chipped in with goals so I think it is a big boost for everybody.”
