Our World Cup showreels continue and next up is dynamic full-back Kyle Walker…

The 32-year-old, and England, will be aiming to secure passage to the last 16 on Tuesday when the Three Lions face Wales in their final Group B match.

He has been an integral part of Gareth Southgate’s side since he made his international debut in 2011 - and played vital roles in the teams that reached the semi-finals of the 2018 World Cup and the final of Euro 2020.

Since joining City in the summer of 2017 from Tottenham, he’s made 223 appearances under Pep Guardiola while establishing himself as one of the finest defenders in the Premier League.

During that time, he has lifted nine major trophies at the Etihad Stadium, scoring six times in all competitions.

After a strong start to the 2022/23 campaign, an injury sustained after our 6-3 victory over Manchester United ruled him out for two months – sparking an intense rehabilitation period to regain fitness before the World Cup.

And after proving his sharpness to Southgate, he was included in the squad for the tournament in Qatar.

Walker is yet to feature for England this winter, but he’ll be hoping to stamp his authority on the knockout stages should the Three Lions get there.
