Extended action from Elland Road...

City edged the first meeting against Leeds United with a late Phil Foden winner.

Needing victory to pile pressure on leaders Arsenal, this was always going to be a tough fixture.

The Blues had to weather a fierce early storm from the hosts who went close to opening the scoring  several times in the first half-hour.

But with a stellar rearguard action, City started to gain control of proceedings, and finally broke through in first-half added time as Antoine Semenyo slid home Rayan Ait-Nouri’s cross.

It proved to be the only goal of an absorbing contest that keeps the Blues hot on the heels of leaders Arsenal.
