Get in the mood for Sunday's meeting with Arsenal by watching our best moments in the Community Shield.

Pep Guardiola‘s side start the 2023/24 campaign with the 16:00 (UK) kick-off against the Gunners at Wembley, aiming to win the trophy for the seventh time.

We’ve qualified for the showpiece occasion thanks to last season’s Premier League and FA Cup successes, with our opponents selected thanks to their second place league finish.

City v Arsenal | How to watch on TV

To whet the appetite, we’ve taken a walk down memory lane to Community Shield matches of the past.

We start with Sergio Aguero’s left-footed finish against Chelsea in 2018 before Edin Dzeko’s long range hit past Manchester United’s David de Gea in 2011.

The header in this video is a glancing finish from Joleon Lescott in the same game as Dzeko’s strike.

Bringing the assist for this compilation is Aleksandar Kolarov, with a typically powerful left-footed cross that Samir Nasri turned home in the 2012 game at Villa Park.

Gabriel Jesus rounds out the video with a penalty to win the 2019 shootout against Liverpool.
