FODEN THRILLED AFTER CLINICAL AEK ATHENS DISPLAY
It was Lewis again who set up Foden for his brace, before our midfield maestro completed his treble by tapping in from Ryan McAidoo’s cross.
Lewis, who also graduated from City’s Academy like Foden, was in awe of our No.47 following the victory.
“Phil is an unbelievable player,” he began in his interview with City Studios. “When I first came into the first team, I was closest with him.
“And I almost wanted to be him when I was coming up.
“To be able to play with him now, five years down the line and assist him and see how well he’s still doing, is amazing.
“It’s great to see.”
