He continued to flourish in front of an inspired home crowd and in the 62nd minute Foden doubled City’s lead with a sublime strike after mesmerising play by Rodrigo left the England international with space to curl a shot towards the Villa goal.
Foden’s evening, and City’s, was completed with another spectacular goal that epitomised the unbelievable season Foden is having.
