First launched on 3 December 1992, this day promotes the well-being and rights of disabled people around the world.
Manchester City and football more widely should be a place for everyone to feel welcome and valued. Teams across the Club work to identify and remove any barriers that prevent disabled people form enjoying matchdays, as we aim to provide fun, inclusive and accessible experiences for all.
We are also proud to work directly with disabled fans to understand their needs, including our City Matters Disabled Fans representative, Howard Cohen, and the Manchester City Disabled Supporters Association.

Accessible and Inclusive Matchdays
The above video, filmed during our recent Premier League win over Leeds United, shares the matchday experiences of some of our disabled fans.
Supporters highlighted include Charlotte, who is also a participant in City in the Community’s ‘One City Disability’ Powerchair football sessions.
Theo and Luca, two young supporters who enjoy our CITC ‘One City Disability’ visually impaired football sessions, can also be seen having fun in our free Kids Fanzone, available before select home fixtures over at the City Football Academy Indoor Pitch.
Attending their first match, the brothers can be seen trying out the Audio Descriptive Commentary (ADC) service, which the Club has been offering to fans with a visual impairment for over 25 years, recently adding an app-based version.

Elsewhere, Lynn, a Season Ticket Member for over 50 years, and her assistance dog, Barnby, cheer on the team from our accessible seating areas.
Live subtitles and additional support around the stadium are also available for those with a hearing impairment, to ensure everyone has the same opportunity to enjoy our memorable Etihad Stadium atmosphere.
Meanwhile, our Sensory Room - opened in 2019 - provides a space for children in need of a more calming, structured environment to enjoy the match with family and loved ones.
Everyone belongs at Manchester City. Thank you to all of our disabled supporters.
