Pep Guardiola’s side remained unbeaten across the 30-day period in all competitions which saw us secure passage into the knockout phase of the Champions League and remain firmly in the hunt for a fourth successive Premier League crown.
Meanwhile, Gareth Taylor’s team recorded a historic Manchester derby win at Old Trafford and remained in the Barclays Women’s Super League top three.
It was certainly another action-packed four weeks of football as the busy winter schedule comes into focus with 34 goals scored across 11 matches.

Jeremy Doku v Bournemouth
Our Belgian ace continued his fine form since his summer move to City by opening the scoring against Bournemouth at home. Doku unleashed an unstoppable, dipping effort into the bottom corner en route to a 6-1 success.
Bernardo Silva (second) v Bournemouth
City’s classy midfield operator consistently dictated the tempo against the Cherries and netted twice against Andoni Iraola’s side. His second of the afternoon makes November’s shortlist after he danced into the box and nonchalantly dinked the ball into the goal.
Chloe Kelly v Liverpool
Chloe Kelly’s wonderful start to the 2023/24 season continued throughout November when she scored a sensational goal in our entertaining 4-3 Continental Cup win over Liverpool. After cutting inside onto her left foot, she fired a half-volley into the top corner from 25-yards.
Manuel Akanji v Chelsea
After City and Chelsea played out a 4-4 draw in November, perhaps it’s no surprise strikes from the Premier League classic have made the list. Starting with Manuel Akanji’s first-half equaliser, the Swiss international’s towering header drew the visitors level at Stamford Bridge on the cusp of the interval.
Rodrigo v Chelsea
With the fixture locked at 3-3 in London, Rodrigo’s thunderous effort from the edge of the area for Guardiola’s team’s fourth goal sent the away supporters wild. Although it took a slight deflection on its way through, the euphoria it provided makes it a worthy candidate for Nissan Goal of the Month.
Lauren Hemp v Manchester United
After conceding against the run of play in the first half at Old Trafford, City silenced the home crowd with two quickfire goals to flip the match on its head before the interval. Following Jill Roord’s composed equaliser, Hempo wonderfully curled into the net on our way to the 3-1 success.
Deyna Castellanos v Leicester
With Taylor’s side looking to mount a comeback from two-goals down against Leicester, Castellanos’ thunderbolt ignited just that. Following a well-executed counter attack, the Venezuelan sent an effort into the net via the underside of the crossbar. Laura Coombs then equalised to earn us a Conti Cup draw before the Foxes won the shootout for an extra point.
Khadija ‘Bunny’ Shaw (third) v Spurs
The Jamaican loves playing against Spurs! Following her sublime hat-trick against the north London club, she has now scored nine goals in her five appearances against them. Her third at the Joie Stadium makes November’s shortlist after she excellently chested inside the box before drilling into the net.
