Though City's support in Japan has been strong for many years, our pre-season tour of Japan has strengthened the bond between local fans and the team even more.
Established in 2018, the Tokyo branch of the Official Supporters Club has grown to almost 200 members and is a huge driving force for support in Japan.
More recently the branch has collaborated with a local City fan, Bo. Bo has been running a futsal event called ‘Cityzen-sal’ for the last few years after wanting to create a space where City fans could come together.
Bo and the Tokyo OSC recently came together to not only increase participation in the futsal event but also host a match screening which saw 50 local City fans celebrate as City beat Everton.
